Customised Daily Market Summary 0 comments

Since my routine is to do writeups on hot-stocks-not once every week (typically end of the week) the rest of the week seems rather empty. So I thought it may be useful to do a daily market summary, starting with the one for today (see post below).

First there is the market summary, which indicates the total number of winners and losers at the end of the trading day, followed by total trading volume, in units and in monetary terms (of course, the ratio of the last two gives an indication of whether the market is small-cap driven or large-cap driven).

Since I typically target small to mid-cap stocks (with occasional exceptions) I usually look at top gainers and losers below $1 (at the start of the trading day). It therefore offers a customised summary that is different from what you get from normal sites; I've also filtered out the warrants so the large caps don't come into the equation at all.

I will post a summary every day in place of the previous day's ie. there will only be one market summary (the most recent one) on any day. This is to avoid cluttering up the blog. Hope the info provided is useful for your reference.
